8 Months

I have lots of pictures to share! I'm also so excited cuz some of these pictures were altered on my newly refurbished Mac (awesome Christmas present from my hubby)! I get to use iPhoto again to enhance my pictures! Quite a treat with kids who ALWAYS blink with a flash & a poor quality camera.

We've had quite a month: went to Georgia for a week at Christmas, survived Georgia's first nasty cold (the only person who got good rest through that was Christian), and are getting used to Andrew's new schedule apart from seminary & UPS!

We also looked at a rental house near our church on Friday & are currently hoping for someone to take over our apartment lease so we can move into the house. We have no idea if that will happen, but we're hoping. If you know anyone interested send them our way. Are we crazy moving fools? You could make an argument for that.

What's new with the kids? We continue to have discipline problems with Christian & struggle with our own tempers responding to him. We're reading The Faithful Parent by Stuart Scott & Martha Peace together & have been challenged to be faithful in our parenting even though Christian is not very faithful with his obedience. We're also hoping that this is a 3-yr-old phase & he will slowly gain some maturity. The book calls his age group "the weak link" of the family. I absolutely agree, but he makes us laugh a lot. His communication improves every week it seems, stringing grown up sentences together. He's #1 potty trained & we're working on #2. He even got a reward (a trip to the pool) yesterday for doing really well 3 days in a row with that.

Georgia just started clapping today! It's so cute. She kinda loses control after a few seconds & then her arms are just going everywhere. She's sleeping much better at night now & babbling a lot more, making some new sounds, but nothing real yet. No signs of crawling. She doesn't even want to be in the crawl position anymore, but she can hold herself for a while in the standing position when holding onto furniture with both hands. Some of the pictures are blurry, but you can tell how cute they are.

Everything goes in the mouth.

Sweet Daddy reading to his kids

He'll even walk around quoting the Superman theme intro.

I babysat Maddie (12 days younger than Georgia) for a couple of days. She wants to crawl so badly!

The rest of the pictures were taken at my dad's house for various holiday gatherings.

Papa took us to the Georgia Aquarium over Christmas break. We all had our hands pretty full so not many pictures were taken. This is Christian outside one of the gift shops.

Christian likes all of Georgia's Christmas toys as much as she does!

It's nearly impossible to get a good picture of all four of us.
