We had a GREAT Easter, lunch at church then hanging out at Missy's house with church family the rest of the day. Kids got to run around. Trash-talking done over several rounds of cornhole, and lots of yummy food eaten!
Courtesy of a McDonald's happy meal, Georgia put these on at the beginning of the car ride running errands last Thursday. I figured she'd take them off quickly, but halfway to our destination I turned around at a red light & she looked at me like this! She also had a major sleepy face & it cracked me up! I had to dig around for my phone to take a picture quickly. I smiled & began to reflect on how silly my kids are. They are two of the
craziest,
goofiest kids ever!
And they are so emotional. They drive me nuts, frustrate me more than anyone else on earth... and also make me smile more than anyone. I hate to admit it, but I have a hard time being thankful for their personalities. I see calmer kids & find myself wishing mine would tone it down a bit. But this particular day, with Georgia in the Green Lantern glasses, I decided I would not have them any other way. All their craziness makes our life energetic. And God gave them to us just the way they are to work out His great purpose in my life, my sanctification. They challenge my faithfulness, patience, and joy, but that is part of their job.
And that frustrating stuff...
we're working on that daily.
