Rory's 1st birthday was Saturday and we celebrated with a family party.
Many thanks to my mom for doing most of the work to make this cake and supplying lots of party supplies.
Many thanks to Aunt Vickie for decorating the cupcakes and supplying loads of food.
Cute lollipop bouquet, Grandma Resa!
OK, so this is not a bday photo, but it is new, depicting Rory learning how to climb in the little rocker at MeMa's house.
Back to the birthday...
Chillin' with MeMa while set up is underway
Funny enough, Rory was the only kid who really got into the pin-the-cloud-on-the-rainbow game Aunt Allison made.
Getting ready to eat her cupcake. It's hard to get the photos in order on blogger sometimes. Sorry.
Looking outside with Grandma Resa
So pretty!
So, the rainbow cake did not turn out like the one I saw on Pinterest, but it tasted great and our guests seemed impressed.
What's happening in that jar, Alex and Georgia?
RORY...
- cruises, cruises, cruises but won't let go yet
- has 1 tooth
- can climb in kid chairs and on our raised brick where our wood-burning stove is located (wish she couldn't)
- can climb a flight of stairs
- screams really loud when you're not doing what she wants
- says "ma ma" when she wants more food
- LOVES table food
- loves to tackle people, especially Georgia, when they're sitting in the floor
- either cries or laughs when told no
- is feisty and very curious

That is a most excellent theme for a first birthday party ;)
