This will be a very quick update with no pictures because I'm at work & we still don't have internet at home. Our ultrasound went well on Jan 12th. One tiny thing that needed follow-up: our baby has a cyst on its brain. Usually it means nothing & goes away as the baby grows, but we were referred to a high risk doctor for a higher level ultrasound. This took place this past Thursday. We didn't get any new information, just reassurance that absolutely everything else looks great with the baby. The cyst is still there, but the doctor was pretty confident that if anything was wrong (they were particularly looking for signs of a chromosomal disorder called Edward syndrome) they would see other things wrong on the ultrasound. They also said these innocent cysts are pretty common, but no other follow-up is needed because everything else is fine. Our midwife also said that these are pretty common & 9 times out of 10 they mean nothing. We are very thankful for this news & were glad to see our baby again.
I'll reveal the initials for the names we've chosen after my 3rd trimester blood work is done, not too much longer.
Christian is doing well but has developed an affinity for outlets & plugging appliances into them. Fun. At least, he thinks so. He actually drags my small kitchen appliances to my bedroom because there are uncovered outlets in there. Fun.
